 The False Garden
« Thread Started on Sept 9, 2007, 12:52pm »

To live a life in riches. That is the sort of life many strive for. In this land, in this place, the richest people are the only one's who can afford a garden. A False Garden. Plants imported from other countries. Both people and plants must survive the desert in order for the False Gardens to exists. This makes things extremely expensive. Also the plants must be watered. Water is precious in these parts. That is why there is only one False Garden in all of Suno no Teikoku.

The tiny Geisha girl frowned slightly, staring at her fingers. She was avoiding her roommate's eyes. Her roommate was an adorable fifteen year old girl who had recently completed her training. Kohana had completed her own training so much earlier. This girl would be no competition. Kohana was smaller than the fifteen year old. The girl stood 5'5" while Kohana was only 4'9". The girl was also tanned. A large amount of white powder had to be placed on her face in order for her to get anywhere near pale. It was hard to stay the beautiful white color in this land. Umbrellas were absolutely necessary for Geisha girls.

After a long time of subtly studying her female companion she decided the skinny girl was, indeed no match for her. This made Kohana more comfortable in the room and she relaxed.

"I hear you are going to preform in the Garden," The girl stated. Her voice was kind, but held a cold tone that could have been jealousy. Kohana would have smirked with content had she not been a master of her own emotions.

"Hai. I am greatly honored." Her voice came out soft and breathy. The fifteen year old seemed somewhat shocked at the sort of voice that came out of someone as small as Kohana. If Kohana was not shaped the way she was one might think her a child.

"Ah." Was the reply.

"I must get ready." Kohana stood and left the room. She went to the 'office'. There she talked to the house manager. A message was sent for an escort. Kohana then required someone to help her get ready. Her female servant, a present from a past lover, entered her room and the two set about getting the young Kohana ready.

Her face was painted a pale white, though her skin was already porcelain like, but this was a special occasion. It would be only those times Kohana would ever wear the white face powder. Her upper lips was painted a soft red and her eyes were accentuated with black paint. Paint helped very little to make her even more beautiful than she already was. She looked almost the same. Just a shade paler, larger eyes, and her upper lip painted that wonderful shade of red to contrast with her extreme paleness.

Her kimono and nagajuban were then brought out. She put on the pink under kimono, shifting it into place. She was then helped into the traditional red kimono. Though she was still so young, the color of the almost completely pale red kimono was silvery with gold leaves moving along the beautiful fabric. The kimono it's self was embroidered in silver summer leaves falling from a vine the grew along the opening of her kimono. Her obi was tied carefully, the bow tied neatly behind her back. Her hair was left mostly down, meant to be somewhat erotic. Her long bangs were drawn away from her face and tied in place at the back of her head by a flower clip. She then slipped into her tabi, white split-toed socks. Her preparation was complete.

Now, where was her ninja protection? She moved elegantly through the house, her servant following behind her. "Are they here yet?" Kohana asked her 'mother' in that same soft tone of voice. Kohana glanced at the door. There were five sets of tabi sitting in a row. No sandals that would belong to outsiders. No one had come in.

((OOC: I'm a little busy. ^^))

There were many ninja surrounding the door, each cloaked in a black robe, except the one in the middle. She wore a white Kimono, with a katana strapped to her back. Greeting the fellow Geisha that proceeded in bowing, she sighed. "So, where is that one woman, what is her name.."

The woman proceeded in speaking, taking a further glance at the Geisha known as Kohana. "What a long name. Did your mother ever think of length?" Laughing, she then dissapeared in her dressing room, while the men surrounded the Geisha.

"You called to have backup of Ninja? Madame Mamimi is in your dressing room. She will be attacking from above, if neccessary." Mamimi was a young, and beautiful 14 year old. She was even more beautiful than the handful of woman here, but her personality was far great.

"What is all of this bird poop?" ((OOC: The white powder they use is Bird Poop.)) She then broke the door with her hand, dissapearing behind Kohana. "Don't suck, much." With a smile and a wink, she proceeded in walking in the balcony.

The audience began to get bigger and bigger, until finally they reached the maximum. "The show must begin now!" Kohana's 'Mother' shouted, watching from above as well.

"And now we are to introduce the Famous Dancer of our Village. Please yell and scream, for the return of our "Little Flower", Kahona!" The introducer then exclaimed, looking towards her direction.

~~~~~~~
((OOC: 200 words needed. Dance like a little Flower. ^^))
((haa haa. If you did not know, a mother is the headof the Geisha house... just an FYI))
Kohana had been born and raised to do this. Perhaps not born, but her life, for msot of her short life it had been beaten into her. Dance, singing. It was what she knew. She drew a deep breath calming the nerves most preformers get. Her eyes half lidded as she walked out onto the stage prepared in the Flase Garden.
It was only for an instant that she could take in her surroundings. And instant that she could see the groups of people set up in chairs around tables put in strategic places. The people closest to the stage looking to be the richest with in the Sand Empire.
The garden itself was magnificent. Tall trees towering above them, native to so many different contries. Bushes with flowers sprouting from them. flowers grew from the ground. Red, yellows, blue, violet. Almsot every color imaginable. It was all breathtaking. But when one has only an instant to notice these things the effect they present is not quite as great as is intended. One gets as much an effect looking at it for a moment as they do having looked at it for over an hour. It is not quite so special.
Her finger flicked upwards as the music started. Her hand raised above her head. Then a fan, a fan from 'no where' appeared in her hand. It opened with only a flick of her wrist. Then another fan appeared. One might not notice but each single beat of the music produced so new reaction from Kohana. The second fan opened, she let brought the fans in front of her face. She took a step foreward. And then, she was swept by the music. She could not quite remember what it was she was doing. The music fille dher head, dance steps came as naturally as breathing. Her body moved fluidly, water grace. Her voice rang out through the halls, loosing that breathlessness and gaining something strong. The fans flew from her fingertips landing, as she had wanted them, on two seperat tables of men. A sort of gift. But her dance continued just as before. Perfect.
She had done thsi so many times before. She would never miss a step. Her body, her mind would not allow for such a thing. Harsh, intence training made sure of this. Her fingers gace one last flick as the music ended. She let her hand drop, and she fell to her knees, bowing her head, allowing the last note die from her lips, that breathless tone coming back for just that moment.
There was uproar. Hands clapped, voices shouted out, somewhistles were heard. Kohana did not give them real recognition with in her. She had heard them so many times before. Nothing new.
She stood, her long black hair flowing around her shoulders. Her large black eyes sparkling with some unknown color. She smiled. It was a sweet, wonderful smile. Strangers clapped for her. People she had never met in her life. Only her tenth time in Suna no Teikoku and she was still so well recieved. Her smile grew a little more as she let her voice ring out to the crowd. The next sing, the next dance. It was her duty, her desire. It was what she knew how to do.
Her hands and feet moved as they had been taught, though adding something to her dance that was completely Kohana. Something sweet and sensual for something small and light. She knew how to use her body. She had been taught to do so. Then a knife flew past her head, slicing her cheek. She did not pause. Her mind did not register she was bleeding, the only thing that jolted her back into life was the screams.
